Membership Update

Welcome to RTO.

On behalf of the membership committee, would like to thank Nancy Griffith, Shirley Takahashi and Wendy Jackson for being volunteer callers for several years. Your work has been most appreciated. We would like to welcome Marilyn Packer and Mary Hill –as new callers. The work is minimal, but our thanks is maximum. As times change, technology is taking over our communications. RTO/ERO wants to continue to give the personal touch to those members who like to talk to someone over the phone, however, the future is emailing to those who would prefer that method.

As of August 2011 our membership stands at a total of 873 Full and 80 Associate members.

Welcome all new members. As in the past, all members’ names are put on callers’ lists and then with the assistance of the coordinators and callers; members will be notified about the meeting and its itinerary prior to the meetings (May, September and October). It has been a routine to notify all members once during the year, just before the Semi-Annual meeting in May. If you do not wish to be called again for the other meetings, please extend your wishes to the callers and we will remove your name from the current year’s calling list.

Thanks to all the members who have registered or cancelled attendance for our meetings in a timely manner. If you need to cancel and your caller has not been able to contact you 10 days before the meeting or if you cannot remember your caller’s name and phone number, please contact me directly. It is important to remember RTO District 33 is still obligated to pay for the food and facilities, therefore, if you should miss a meeting without cancelling a week before, please forward your cheque made payable to RTO –ERO District 33.
